I've been a very bad blogger. I haven't posted anything in about a week. Normally I post daily, but in the past couple months I've had to slow down because of the ebook, which has been taking up a good portion of my time from my blog. But the good news is, it's almost done! I'm now working on the last couple of pages of the final chapter. So far I'm on schedule, but I'm not sure how long it's gonna take to proofread an edit the final copy. I will announce the release of the book in the monthly newlstter. As for this photo, I did a few things different. Instead of the normal three exposures, I used only 2. And instead of using Detail Enhancer, I used Exposure Fusion for tone mapping. But the secret to this photo wasn't in Photomatix, it was in Photoshop. I used shadow/highlights to bring out the detail in the pier and foreground. I also used my normal Photoshop processing techniques to put in the finishing touches. I discuss all this in more detail within the ebook.
