PUGET SOUND, Wash. – Coast Guard Seaman Mark Patrzalek and Petty Officer 3rd Class Tyler Smith check that a buoy in Puget Sound, Wash., is working properly Dec. 10, 2009. PACIFIC OCEAN -- Petty Officer 1st Class Kenji Awamura watches a waterspout from the flight deck of the Coast Guard Cutter Mellon as it moves through a squall in the Pacific Ocean Jan. 10, 2004.
