A pair of "Three Suns" albums to add to my collection, along with the 101 Strings playing some Simon & Garfunkel.
The book on the 60's is chock full of great photos of furniture, interior design, advertisments, art, housewares etc. - The Rolling Stone book on the 70's looks pretty interesting as well.

Day 033/365 - Salinger

Taken 02-02-10: I just learned that J.D. Salinger died last week. I grew up with his stories, and touched my life. I have given his book "Nine Stories" as a gift to my closest friends.
This is my bookshelf, and the section I have set aside for his works. This image is a little late, but I still felt the urge to post it.

Books of Mormon Translated

In the middle of the North Visitor's Center on a circular display are a number of translations to the Book of Mormon.
The Book of Mormon was first published in 1830.
Now almost 180 years later, there are translations of this book in over 80 languages.
See the Navajo, Persian, and Cakchiquel (Kachiquel) translations.

My first Blurb book came today and none of the concerns I had were founded. The printing and binding look great.
Most of the images from the book can be seen here or here, or you could look at the blurb preview though of the first 15 preview pages only 6 are images.

This simple display was put up in September on on a glass partition separating our library from our library computer lab (the display "Websites You May Like" is on the reverse side).
The signs each speak to taking care of school textbooks and library books with comments such as, "Avoid the temptation to draw beards and body parts on the photos in your books."
The signs may be little bit tongue-in-cheek, but the junior high students at our school thought them funny and valid as they've seen the results of those who use textbooks as coasters for their slushies, taken sissors to pages to clip photos for their assignment, etc.
