Notes on design
Though this looks spontaneous it is framed with the lady oriented along the diagonal, seemingly by design (compare with the original).

Copyright Advisory
The original image has no indicated copyright but is believed published before 1905. All copyrightable material published before 1923 in the United States is now in the public domain due to expiration of the copyright. The derivative works presented here are placed under creative commons license with the assumption the above is true.
Technical trivia
The original image had a much lighter left image than right. Each frame was scanned independently, fitting useful density to the window with a curves adjustment. This approach eliminates the sepia toning of the original but seems to enhance overall contrast. Macro Monday Pano
I think this image was my first attempt at a macro panorama taken 2 years ago and composed of 4 separate shots. I really love the parallels between a giant forest and an enchanted clearning.
This was taken, as I said, 2 years ago right as fall started to hit the norther part of the lower peninsula (we're talkin' Michigan here). Here are 6 other images from a weekend I got to spend a lot of time just being introspective and photographery.
Enjoy!

Anna//Three
Well now that I'm back in Michigan I need to post Michigan-y things. Here's another from my shoot with Anna (here are the others). I specifically wanted the really wide field of view but it wasn't something I could get with at 16mm so I, as usual, took multiple images and stitched them together. This is 6 images.
Check out a larger version here.
I'm PUMPED to be heading up north this weekend. I'll be skiing on Saturday and hopefully taking some star trail images if it's not too cloudy... not at the same time though. That's cray.
