The Palace of Mysore (Kannada: ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆ) is a palace situated in the city of Mysore in southern India. It is the official residence of the Wodeyars - the erstwhile royal family of Mysore, and also houses two durbar halls (ceremonial meeting hall of the royal court). The architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic, and blends together Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. It is a three-storied stone structure, with marble domes and a 145 ft five-storied tower.

The Wodeyar kings built a palace in Mysore in the 14th century, But the Raja Wodeyar shifted his Capital to the island fort town of Sriranagapattana in 1610 and Mysore lost its importance as a seat of power. But this palace was partially damaged by a lightning strike in 1638. It was repaired and expanded by Ranadhira Kanteerava Narasa Raja Wodeyar. With the usurpation of the Kingdom by the Hyder in 1762 Mysore Palace further lost its importance. But Hyder son , Tipu Sultan demolished the entire fort town including the Palace in 1787 and used the fort material to build a new town near by known as Nazarabad (now part of the mysore City). Fourth Mysore war in 1799 brought an end to the reign of Tipu sultan and then Governor General of India, Lord Mornington decided to restore part of the conquest to the ancient Hindu Royal family and shifted the capital of the newly defined territory of Mysore Kingdom to Mysore

Snow, the form of an atmospheric precipitation consisting of small crystals of ice. Treats the oblozhny precipitation which is dropping out on a terrestrial surface.

Snow is formed when microscopic drops of water in clouds are attracted to dust particles and freeze. The crystals of ice which aren't exceeding first 0,1 mm in the diameter appearing thus, fall down and grow in result of condensation of moisture on them from air. Six-final crystal forms are thus formed. Because of structure of molecules of water between beams of a crystal corners only in 60 ° and 120 ° are possible. The main crystal of water has a form of the correct hexagon in the plane. At tops of such hexagon then new crystals are besieged, on them — new, and various forms of asterisks snowflakes so turn out.

At high термике crystals repeatedly vertically move in the atmosphere, partially thawing and being crystallized anew. Because of it the regularity of crystals is broken and the mixed forms are formed. Crystallization of all six beams happens at the same time, in almost identical conditions and therefore features of a form of beams of a snowflake turn out are so identical.

White color occurs from the air concluded in a snowflake. Light of various frequencies is reflected in boundary surfaces between crystals and air and dissipates. Snowflakes consist for 95% of air that causes the low density and rather slow speed of falling (0,9 km/h).

The largest snowflake was testified on January 28, 1887 during snowfall in Fort-Keo, Montana, the USA; it had diameter in 15 inches (about 38 cm), is published in Monthly Weather Review, 1915, 73. Usually snowflakes have about 5 mm in the diameter weighing 0,004 g.

Snow is one of indispensable attributes of winter. In spite of the fact that low winter temperatures and in the absence of the snow, one of the main conditions of climatic winter — existence of steady (constant) snow cover which lies during the whole winter continuously or with small breaks are possible.

At the same time, in some especially warm regions of a planet (for example, on Arabian Peninsula) such weather phenomenon as snow, is absent or is observed only once in some decades.

In Russia constant snow cover is established on the most part of the country. Terms of its installation vary year by year and from terms of approach of climatic winter. In northeast areas (The Komi Republic, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Chukotka, Yakutia) where the climate is most severe, snow lays down at the beginning of October and keeps in places prior to the beginning of June. In a midland of Russia the first snow usually drops out at the end of October — the beginning of November, snow cover is established in the second half of November, and descends completely at the end of March. In flat part of the southern areas of the European part of Russia (especially in Black Sea Coast) long-term snow cover (more long 2-3 weeks) are determined only in especially severe winters, and not everywhere.
